Overview
Webralli is a managed WordPress hosting service on Swiss cloud infrastructure. I built its website end to end for Veribir: Payload CMS on Fly.io with a Neon PostgreSQL database and Cloudflare R2 for media, and an Astro + Tailwind frontend deployed on Cloudflare Workers, in English and Turkish.
What I did
- Set up Payload CMS as a headless backend on Fly.io, with PostgreSQL on Neon and media stored in Cloudflare R2.
- Modelled the marketing pages as CMS blocks, so content can be changed without touching code.
- Built the Astro + Tailwind frontend that renders those blocks, in English and Turkish.
- Built fully dynamic forms: editors design the whole contact form in Payload CMS, the frontend renders it with no code changes, and submissions are saved back to the CMS.
- Configured Payload’s live preview with the Astro frontend, so editors see their changes on the real page as they edit.
- Set up Cloudflare Zaraz to load third-party tools such as Google Analytics and PostHog, with a consent banner, instead of adding their scripts to the page.
- Deployed the frontend on Cloudflare Workers, with pages cached at Cloudflare’s edge.
- Planned the architecture and directed AI coding agents (Claude) through the implementation, guided by agent skills and project conventions I wrote, then reviewed every change from the user’s and the developer’s side before it went live.
Highlights
- A fully managed stack with no server to look after: Fly.io, Neon, Cloudflare R2 and Cloudflare Workers.
- One CMS behind both languages of the site.
- Editors build forms and preview pages live in the CMS, without a developer.
Challenges
- Making the contact form fully dynamic: any form an editor designs in Payload has to render and submit correctly on the Astro frontend, with every submission stored in the CMS.
